Official Terms And Conditions
Please read these Official Rules carefully. By participating in the Built by Experience Referral Program, you agree to be bound by these terms. Last updated: July 17, 2026.
1. Sponsor
The Built by Experience Referral Program (the "Program") is sponsored and administered by Makarios Design Build ("Makarios," "we," "us," or "our"), a custom home builder operating in the State of Texas. Contact: 512-540-4096, demitri@makariosdesignbuild.com.
2. Program period
The Program is ongoing and has no scheduled end date. Makarios reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Program, in whole or in part, at any time and for any reason, without prior notice. A referral qualifies under the terms in effect on the date the referred party executes a qualifying home construction agreement.
3. Eligibility
Participation is open to individuals who are legal residents of the United States, are 18 years of age or older at the time of referral, and have the legal capacity to enter into these terms. The referred party ("Referred Party") must be a new prospect who is not, at the time of referral, an existing client of Makarios, already in active discussions with Makarios, or party to an existing agreement with Makarios. Employees, contractors, and immediate family or household members of Makarios personnel are not eligible to receive rewards. The Program is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
4. How to participate
To make a referral, submit the Referred Party's information through the official Program referral form and identify the referring party ("Referrer"). Submitting a referral is free; no purchase or payment is necessary to submit a referral. A referral must be submitted before or at the time the Referred Party first engages Makarios in order to be credited. Makarios' records are the official record for determining referral credit.
5. Qualifying event & how rewards are earned
A reward is earned only when all of the following occur: (a) a valid referral was submitted and credited in accordance with Section 4; (b) the Referred Party executes a qualifying home construction agreement with Makarios (a "Qualifying Agreement"); and (c) all Program requirements are satisfied. Submitting a referral alone does not entitle any party to a reward. A "Qualifying Agreement" means a fully executed, non-contingent custom home construction agreement between the Referred Party and Makarios that has not been cancelled, rescinded, or terminated during any applicable rescission or contingency period.
6. Rewards
Upon a qualifying event, the Referrer will receive a promotional reward gift card valued at ten thousand U.S. dollars ($10,000), and the Referred Party will receive a credit valued at ten thousand U.S. dollars ($10,000) applied toward the amounts due under their Qualifying Agreement. Rewards are non-transferable, may not be assigned, and are not redeemable for cash except where required by law. No substitution or exchange of a reward is permitted except by Makarios in its sole discretion. If any reward cannot be provided as described, Makarios may substitute a reward of comparable value.
7. Reward fulfillment
Rewards will be issued within a commercially reasonable period following the qualifying event, provided all requirements are met and any required tax or identity documentation has been completed. The Referred Party's $10,000 credit is applied to the Qualifying Agreement and is reflected in the agreement or a written change order. If a Qualifying Agreement is cancelled, rescinded, or terminated before completion for any reason, Makarios reserves the right to withhold, revoke, or recover the corresponding reward(s).
8. Limits
There is no limit to the number of individuals a Referrer may refer; however, only one (1) Referrer reward and one (1) Referred Party credit may be earned per Qualifying Agreement. If more than one Referrer claims the same Referred Party, Makarios will credit the earliest valid referral of record. Rewards may not be combined with other offers except as expressly permitted by Makarios in writing.
9. Taxes
Recipients are solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes, and any other costs and fees associated with reward receipt and use. Where the value of rewards provided to a recipient meets or exceeds applicable reporting thresholds, Makarios may require completion of an IRS Form W-9 and may issue an IRS Form 1099. Failure to provide required tax documentation may result in forfeiture of the reward.
10. General conditions
Makarios reserves the right to verify eligibility and to disqualify any person it believes has tampered with the Program, violated these terms, or acted in a manner that is fraudulent, dishonest, or not in good faith. All decisions of Makarios relating to the Program are final and binding. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, and any dispute shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas. If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
11. Privacy
Information collected in connection with the Program is used to administer the Program and communicate with participants, and is handled in accordance with Makarios' privacy practices. By referring another person, you represent that you have their permission to share their contact information with Makarios.
